Our Love Story
A boy from Long Beach, California and a girl from Chennai, India met one evening when they were just 14 and 15 years old in Catonsville, MD. Life took them on separate adventures for a while, but right before the world shut down in 2019, they found their way back to each other. Thankfully, they didn’t catch COVID—but they did catch the love bug. Seven years later, they’re still going strong and can’t wait to make it official!
As a Tamil bride and an African American groom, our wedding is a joyful blending of the cultures that shaped who we are. Throughout the celebration, you’ll see elements of both traditions reflected in the décor, attire, food, music, and customs. We’re excited to share this meaningful mix of heritage, family, and love with everyone joining us.
Getting There
By Car
By Flight
Drive 45 minutes from Baltimore or Washington DC.
We recommend flying into BWI or Ronald Reagan Airports.
Once You're There
For our friends and family traveling in from Colorado, California, and beyond—welcome to the DMV (the Washington, DC–Maryland–Virginia area)! This region is full of history, culture, and amazing food, and we hope you’ll take some time to explore while you’re here.
If you have time for sightseeing, be sure to visit iconic spots like the National Mall, the museums of the Smithsonian Institution, and landmarks such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C.. For charming neighborhoods, great restaurants, and waterfront views, check out areas like Georgetown and Old Town Alexandria.
The DMV is also known for its incredible food scene, reflecting the diversity of the region. From Ethiopian and Salvadoran cuisine to classic Southern comfort food and fresh seafood like Maryland crab cakes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
We hope you’ll make a little trip out of your visit—explore, eat well, and enjoy everything the DMV has to offer while you celebrate with us!

What is a Mehendi
Our Mehendi celebration (April 23, 2026 @ 6pm) is a joyful pre-wedding tradition where henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet. In many South Asian cultures, mehendi symbolizes love, joy, and good fortune for the couple. The event is usually filled with music, laughter, colorful attire, and delicious food as family and friends gather to celebrate the upcoming wedding. Guests are welcome to join the fun and even get a small henna design if they’d like!
